BEFORE YOU LOG IN:

Clear your browser cache and history. Skipping this step is why most errors happen.
Clear Cache → Close Browser → Reopen → Log in.

ATTENTION: Do not clear cookies. Cookies are what keep you logged in to websites. If you delete them, you'll get logged out everywhere and have to type in all your passwords again. Clearing download history won't delete your files. It only erases the list of things you downloaded. The actual files are still safe in your Downloads folder.

HOW TO CLEAR YOUR CACHE

Google Chrome

1. Click the three dots ⋮ in the top-right corner → Delete browsing data.
2. Where it says Time range, pick All time if you want to erase everything.
3. Check these boxes: (never check cookies)
   • Browsing history
   • Download history
   • Cached images and files
4. Click Delete data.

Microsoft Edge

1. Open Edge.
2. Click the three dots ⋯ in the top-right corner → Delete browsing data.
3. Set Time range to All time.
4. Check these boxes: (never check cookies)
   • Browsing history
   • Download history
   • Cached images and files
5. Click Clear now.

Safari (on a Mac)

Safari bundles history and cache together, so it takes two steps if you want to be thorough.

To clear history and cache:

1. Open Safari.
2. In the menu bar at the top of the screen, click History → Clear History.
3. In the dropdown, choose all history.
4. Click Clear History. This wipes your history, cookies, and cache at once.

To clear your download list:

1. Click the download icon (a downward arrow) near the top-right of the Safari window.
2. Click Clear.

Safari on an iPhone or iPad

1. Open the Settings app (not Safari itself).
2. Scroll down and tap Apps → Safari.
3. Tap Clear History and Website Data, then confirm.
